1040 U.S. Tax Season Calendar ¨C 2009
January
January 1- 3
         - New Year Holiday.
January 4-6
         - Initial email regarding authorization and sending organizers.
January 15
         - 2008 4th quarter estimated tax payment is due if you are paying estimated tax quarterly.
January 25 ¨C January 31
         - Chinese New Year Holiday.
January 31
         - W-2 forms,1099 forms and other income statements are due from payers.

February
February 1-6
         - Reminder email on filing of 2008 US income tax return.
February 2
         - Due date for the payers issuing W-2, Form 1098, Form 1099 series, such as 1099-Int,            1099-Div etc.
February 17
         - Due date for payers issuing 1099-B on stock sale and other transactions.

March
March 2-6
        - Reminder and following up email on tax information.
March 23-27
        - Reminder on filing of 2008 tax return, or federal and state extension by April 15, 2009
March 29
        - Tax information is due for filing extensions with 2008 estimated tax payment , or filing           2008 tax income return by April 15, 2009.
April
April 15
        - Regular due date for filing 2008 income tax return.
        - Get an extension by:
          a.attaching a 2-month automatic extension statement to the return, if you are living outside of           the U.S on April 15.
          b.filing form 4868 by phone or internet
          c.1040 office will file extensions for clients who have authorized us.
        - 2009 1st quarter estimated tax payment is due if you are paying estimated tax quarterly.
        - Contribution to IRA (Individual Retirement Account) is due, 2008 limit is up to less of $5,000           ($6,000 if you are age 50 and over) or your taxable earned income in 2008. Deductions are           subject to certain limitations. Please contact 1040 for more information.

May 4-8
        - Reminder and following up email on filing 2008 tax return, and filing of report  of foreign bank           and financial accounts.
May 18-22
        - Reminder on filing of 2008 tax return, or federal extension by June 15, 2009.
May 27
        - Tax information is due for filing 2008 return by June 15, 2009.

June 15
        - Tax return is due for US taxpayers living and working outside the US.
        - Filing Form 4868 with the IRS to extend filing due date until Oct 15th if you need additional            time and no extensions have been filed. 1040 office will file extensions for clients who have           authorized us.
        - 2009 2nd quarter estimated tax payment is due if you are paying estimated tax quarterly.
        - Reminder on filing report of foreign bank and financial accounts.

        - Filing due date for report of foreign bank and financial accounts.

        - Handling back filing of outstanding and overdue tax returns, tax consulting and planning.
